ADVISORY BOARDS
What is an advisory board?
We arrange small group meetings – advisory boards – so that you can discuss topics and get feedback from those who know what it’s like to be a trial participant, potential participant, or companion. We will work with you to define advisory board objectives, agenda and timing as well as the participant profile and numbers. We take care of the logistics, co-facilitate the meeting and send you post-meeting notes and recommendations. It couldn’t be easier.
Apart from answering your specific questions, advisory boards are a great opportunity to connect with influential HD advocates.
How can we help?
Advocates bring lived experience from different perspectives and can give input on:
· Symptom priorities
· Outcome measurements
· Risk tolerance
· Recruitment and retention
· Challenges for trial participants and companions
· Communicating with the HD community
What can you expect from an ad board?
Once your objectives are defined we work with you to deliver a successful outcome. We propose half day (4 hour) or full day (7 hour) sessions, according to the number of topics under review. The following activities take place before during and after each ad board:
Before
You meet and brief the CAB management team who will work with you to prepare for the event. We provide guidance on the type and number advocates as well as the agenda and discussion points. We handle all the venue logistics, ensure NDAs are executed and advocates are appropriately trained and prepared.
During
The advisory board will be jointly facilitated by Astri Arnesen and your nominated representative. Advocates, pre-selected according to the number and profile you require, will answer your questions and give expert opinion. Minutes will be taken by our CAB coordinator.
After
Common themes, key recommendations and minutes will be sent to you within 10 days of the event. Further questions can arise following the meeting, and we can coordinate follow up discussions based on any additional needs. We will arrange either written responses or a follow-up Zoom call with advocates to ensure the desired outcomes have been fully met
